REMOTE Electrical BIM Designer

The Electrical BIM Designer plays a crucial role in supporting complex construction projects by creating, maintaining, and coordinating detailed 3D models. This position requires proficiency in Revit and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals. The role involves ensuring model accuracy, supporting BIM processes, and aiding field operations through remote coordination.

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D models using Revit, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure consistency and coordination across disciplines.
• Use clash detection software to identify and resolve conflicts between building systems.
• Coordinate closely with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to ensure integrated, clash-free designs.
• Provide remote coordination and support for field operations, ensuring accurate integration of 3D scans and field data into project models.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation, drawings, and schedules required by project teams.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of all models, adhering to project standards and deadlines.
• Stay current with advancements in BIM and VDC technologies, applying knowledge to improve modeling processes and project outcomes.
• Utilize collaboration tools to enhance communication and model accessibility.

• Proficiency in Revit with the ability to create and manage detailed 3D models.
• Experience with LOD 350-400 in electrical work.
• Proficiency in clash detection software.
• Experience in electrical design, including conduit and cable trays.
• Ability to work on industrial or commercial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM design.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in VDC/BIM Modeling.
• Familiarity with sleeve drawings, embedded field points, and coordinating shop drawings.
• Experience in electrical trades is preferred.

This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work on large-scale projects dedicated to VDC design. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Please note that applications from the following states are not accepted: CA, HI, NY, IL, NJ, MN, Montana, OR, RI, VA, WA.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $41.00/hr.
