Care Management Supervisor (Contract)

💰 Pay: $50–$55/hour

🕒 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PT (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Care Management Supervisor to lead and support a team within a Medi-Cal health plan environment. This is a contract opportunity where you will play a key role in supervising care management staff, ensuring quality of services, and supporting effective case management operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide day-to-day support to Care Management staff
• Monitor team productivity, quality metrics, and communication standards
• Oversee case management workflows and ensure operational efficiency
• Collaborate with providers, members, and community partners
• Coach and mentor staff; address performance and workflow challenges
• Support Medi-Cal plan operations and ensure compliance with program requirements

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

✅ Medi-Cal or California health plan experience

✅ Care Management (CM) experience

✅ Working knowledge of Utilization Management (UM)

✅ Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience within case/care management

✅ Licensed RN or Master’s in Social Work (MSW)

  • Number of direct reports
  • Case volumes managed (team caseloads, weekly/monthly)
• Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills
• Ability to optimize workflows and drive process improvements
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Primarily remote role with quarterly in-office visits (Santa Barbara)

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Barbara, CA.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
