Quality Technician

The Quality Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards on the production floor by conducting product audits and supporting specification reviews. This position involves hands-on testing, building, and installing test fixtures, and collaborating with various teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

• Perform product audits on the production floor to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Support specification reviews and effectively communicate quality requirements to relevant teams.
• Conduct and document test procedures, including air, water, and structural testing.
• Build and install test fixtures and prototypes as needed.
• Use measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to verify parts.
• Partner with Quality Engineers, Operations, and OPD teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain quality documentation and standard work instructions to ensure compliance.
• Assist with the calibration and care of quality and test equipment.
• Attend daily shift debriefs and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

• Strong background in quality and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to use various software applications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through to ensure tasks are completed accurately.
• Comfortable working on the production floor with familiarity in using tools (training provided).

• Technical degree or related education is preferred.
• Interest in long-term growth within the Quality field.

A Quality Technician operates in a fast-paced, highly collaborative production-floor environment, where they spend most of their day hands-on, diagnosing issues and supporting operators. The role involves a structured and problem-solving-heavy atmosphere with solid training and growth potential. There are opportunities to work on both first and second shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Galena, IL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
