Job Title: Quality Manager
Job Description
As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing, documenting, and improving Quality Plans while identifying key characteristics and controls. This role involves working closely with the Quality team and planning meetings to identify potential problems and conducting PFMEA (Process/Failures/Modes/Effects/Analysis). You will report on the costs and status of documented improvement plans and research various options to meet customer requirements. In addition, you will process awarded projects per established guidelines and interact with customers to resolve issues affecting part quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and improve Quality Plans.
- Identify key characteristics and controls.
- Work with the Quality team to identify potential problems through PFMEA.
- Report on costs and status of improvement plans.
- Research options to meet customer requirements.
- Process awarded projects according to guidelines.
- Interact with customers to resolve quality-related questions.
- Halt production due to quality problems and advise manufacturing on corrective actions.
- Monitor CPK levels where applicable.
- Review quality issues with customers as needed.
- Design special gauging for new jobs.
- Create and adapt procedures as described in the Quality Systems Procedure Manual.
Essential Skills
- Experience in quality engineering.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management.
- Six Sigma certification, preferably Black Belt.
- Training in ISO-9000.
- 5 years of experience leading a quality department.
- Experience in machining/metals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership experience, as this position will manage a team of 10 direct reports.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with growth opportunities.
Work Environment
The work environment offers significant growth opportunities as the company is investing in new machinery and anticipating sales growth in the coming years. You will be replacing the current manager who is retiring, providing a chance to lead and improve a team that requires development.

This is a Permanent position based out of Manitowoc, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
