As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products through comprehensive sensory and analytical testing. This role supports the maintenance of key certifications and ensures the effective operation of our QA lab. Your contributions will aid in proactive decision-making and the continuous improvement of product labeling. You will also play a vital role in fostering a positive work culture, participating in training and safety programs, and serving as a backup for the QA Manager when necessary.
Responsibilities- Complete sensory and analytical testing of finished products.
- Support the maintenance of existing certifications such as SQF, Kosher, Halal, and Organic.
- Ensure effective QA lab operation by trending and analyzing test results.
- Update sample product labels as needed.
- Foster a positive and effective work culture within the facility.
- Participate in training and safety programs to enhance overall plant performance.
- Act as a backup for the QA Manager in their absence.
- Proficiency in sensory and lab testing.
- Experience in quality control and quality assurance.
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in moisture testing and food safety.
- HACCP, SQF, PCQI certifications are a plus.
