Quality Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer with a focus on production quality, equipped with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and leadership skills and have the ability to influence others and lead small teams effectively.

• Apply preventive tools for process control based on the analysis of indicators in the area.
• Audit processes, products, and quality systems to verify compliance with established regulations and quality standards.
• Conduct customer inspection visits to the plant to demonstrate compliance with product specifications.
• Generate control indicators to prioritize and monitor failures or deviations that require quick resolution.
• Implement process improvements and corrective actions to address process problems, based on the analysis of failures in key product variables, quality critiques, and customer complaints.
• Document, maintain, and update process MEFAs.
• Establish barriers/containment actions to ensure non-recurrence in corrective actions, complaints, failures, internal deviations, and late deviations.
• Prepare reports of inspections, tests, failures, and complaints.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production quality.
• Proficiency with ISO 9001.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Effective problem identification and solution skills.
• Proven analytical and organizational ability.

• Previous welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 3834 and AWS standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with UL and FM standards.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement.

The work environment involves a manufacturing setting where the Quality Engineer will be expected to lead teams and initiatives while ensuring compliance with product specifications and quality standards. The role requires effective communication and coordination across multiple projects. The candidate will be exposed to various technologies and should be able to interpret engineering drawings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bossier City, LA.

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $41.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Bossier City,LA.
