Quality Control Technician

As a Quality Control Technician, you will conduct quality control testing on the production floor, including metal detection checks, leak tests, and percentage tests. You will perform line audits every hour on each production line, encompassing first piece, in-process, and final inspections/QC tests. Your role will involve performing calculations to determine material percentages and total ounces, as well as conducting basic testing for moisture, salt, and fat using automated testing methods. Documentation of daily numbers and testing performed will be required in both paper and digital formats. Collaboration with production personnel to perform QC checks and rectify errors is a key part of the role.

• Conduct quality control testing on the production floor including metal detection, leak tests, and percentage tests.
• Perform hourly line audits on each production line with first piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Calculate material percentages and total ounces accurately.
• Conduct basic moisture, salt, and fat testing using automated equipment.
• Document daily testing results in both paper and digital formats.
• Collaborate with production staff to perform QC checks and address errors.

• Understanding of quality control processes in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with food quality processes and GMP.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, such as percentages.
• Experience with quality assurance and line audits.

• High school diploma, HSED, or GED required.
• 1 years of food quality control experience, including HACCP.
• Proficiency in percentage calculations (e.g., 60% of 12 ounces = 7.2 ounces).

This role is set in a smaller food manufacturing company that produces large volumes for major clients like CVS and Costco. The company is expanding, taking on new, larger customers, potentially increasing output. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends during peak seasons. You will receive cross-training across the quality department, requiring flexibility in duties, which may vary between lab and non-lab work. This is a Permanent position based out of WAUKESHA, WI.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $45760.00/yr.
