- Perform qualitative and quantitative testing of samples as requested using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV/Vis, KF, FTIR, and various wet chemistry techniques.
- Ensure that the analytical data generated is accurate, precise, and in compliance with cGMP, FDA, and company requirements.
- Document testing, observations, deviations, and Out of Specification (OOS) results clearly and completely. Perform peer review of data as needed.
- Coordinate and prepare samples for shipment to external testing laboratories as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand and follow GMPs, SOPs, and analytical procedures (compendial and in-house).
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to develop and maintain a positive culture within the organization.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in the laboratory and other workspaces.
- Observe and comply with company Health and Safety policies.
- Contribute to a continuous improvement environment and work with management to implement agreed-upon changes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge and hands on experience with some of the following: chromatography, spectroscopy, wet chemistry and dissolution testing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to learn and adapt to demands in a fast paced work environment
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a hands-on collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the company
- Ability to demonstrate good laboratory technique and a high degree of accuracy in the execution of different analytical techniques.
- B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or other related discipline or equivalent, directly related job experience is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a QC laboratory under a GMP environment is desired.
- Experience with chromatographic data acquisition software is a plus.
