Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Lab Analyst to join our growing team. This role involves conducting GC testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples across various matrices and run calibration curves and system suitability tests.
• Perform wet chemistry tests, including pH, titrations, and loss on drying (LOD).
• Provide first-line instrument care, such as column maintenance and addressing leaks and pump seals, following IQ/OQ/PQ guidelines.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Support method validation work, focusing on accuracy, precision, LOD, and LOQ.
• Flexibly support lab needs, including inventory management, lab cleanup, and notebook peer review.
• Draft and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is necessary; a Master's degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a QC lab within the food or supplement industry.
• Demonstrated independent operation of HPLC and GC.
• Experience with natural product or lipid-rich matrices, including small molecule testing like vitamins, fats, emulsifiers, and actives.
• Working knowledge of USP/AOAC methods and cGMP documentation.
• Proficiency in chromatography software such as OpenLab and ChemStation.
• Strong lab safety mindset and approach to work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a bench lab analyst or chemist.
• Proficiency in titration and wet chemistry.
• Experience with ICP-MS.

Work Environment

The position is based in a laboratory/manufacturing setting. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with working hours from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or 9 am to 5 pm. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hadley, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
