QC Analyst
Description
Will support the QC Lab to provide supplemental product testing and feed sample analysis to account for an increase in sample volume.
Product Testing in the QC Lab:
Wet chemistry and general lab testing to include: Particle Size by Sieve Analysis, Thin Layer Chromatography, Loss on Drying using Vacuum Ovens
Document all results in a lab notebook following GMP/GDP guidelines
High throughput testing (12 - 16 tests/day) and weighing/sample preparation of materials ranging from 50mg to 1g
PAY - $23-$26/hour
Feeds Analysis in the Feed Lab:
Sample receipt and log-in
Perform sample preparation duties for feed analysis (grinding, weighing, solution preparation, etc.)
Analyze customer feed samples utilizing HPLC and Column Chromatography and UV-vis
Document results according to GMP guidelines and report final results to management.
Typical sample load is 16/day and can get busier in the late summer

Additional Skills & Qualifications
BS Degree in Chemistry preferred, other science discipline also ok
6 months of QC experience in a GMP lab with experience running one or more of the following: HPLC, Column Chromatography, wet chemistry testing, UV Analysis
Must be able to discuss basic lab equipment, glassware knowledge, keeping a good lab notebook, etc.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
