Role Summary

The QA technician is responsible for performing timely analysis of samples, ensuring accuracy of results, and maintaining compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role supports quality systems, laboratory operations, and continuous improvement within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform timely analysis of under-test samples and ensure accurate and prompt reporting of results.
• Coordinate with toll manufacturing teams regarding quality-related issues and clarifications.
• Conduct sampling and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with Approved Test Requirements (ATR) and established quality standards.
• Support and assist in ISO implementation and adherence within the department.
• Maintain knowledge and execution of:
  • Instrument calibration
  • Standard preparation and standardization
  • Relevant documentation practices
• Operate and handle analytical instruments, including:
  • HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography)
  • GC (Gas Chromatography)
  • Wet chemistry analysis techniques

Ongoing / Departmental Responsibilities

• Submit timely reports in SAP for accurate recording of analytical results.
• Maintain, update, and ensure completeness of all QC documentation and records.
• Promote a zero-incident safety culture within quality operations.
• Ensure achievement of batch-wise timelines, maintaining both quality and quantity targets.
• Train, supervise, and monitor operators within the department, including oversight of waste generation.
• Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team, providing guidance and training during emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with:
  • ISO 9001:2008
  • ISO/IEC 17025:2005
  • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Internal quality systems and SAP processes
• Maintain analytical records and logbooks in accordance with GMP and ISO guidelines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carpinteria, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Carpinteria,CA.
