Job Description

Actalent is looking to hire a Project Engineer to support a Columbia Gorge-area client. The Project Engineer will support building out engineering projects and programs in Smartsheet as part of the industrialization process of our client's products.

Responsibilities

• Discuss and understand current projects and processes, communicate with existing teams to determine statuses and outline needed deliverables for each project.
• Create program and project architecture in Smartsheet based on information gathered from required stakeholders.
• Move existing schedules into Smartsheet and create any new schedules as needed.
• Utilize Smartsheet to create dashboards aligned with manufacturing processes and milestone reporting.
• Create and establish project and program workflows.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated experience setting up projects and programs in Smartsheet, including understanding of predecessors, successors, resources, paths, and milestones.
• Strong project management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of engineering project management processes.
• Mechanical engineering and project management experience is highly preferred.
• A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is desirable for more junior candidates.
• Proficiency in Smartsheet and experience in setting up projects and workflows.
• Background in engineering project management is ideal.

Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid schedule with approximately 80% remote work. You will spend one week onsite in the White Salmon, WA area, understanding the project requirements and mapping deliverables. This will be followed by three weeks of remote work creating the deliverables, repeating this cycle likely three or more times. Because of this cadence, we are seeking regional talent from the PNW who can get to the area for onsite duties.

This is a Contract position based out of Bingen, WA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $60.00/hr.
