What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Designer position at Actalent?
We are seeking a seasoned and driven Architect/Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the Construction Administration phase of multiple architectural projects, implementing and overseeing firm-wide CA protocols and best practices.
Responsibilities- Conduct site visits, review submittals, RFIs, and coordinate with contractors and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and building codes.
- Spearhead QA/QC processes to maintain high standards of documentation and construction quality.
- Collaborate with project architects and design teams to resolve field issues efficiently.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to professional development within the CA team.
- Maintain detailed records of construction progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Act as a primary liaison between the firm, clients, and construction teams.
- Contribute to projects in the education, municipal, and community sectors, ensuring alignment with public agency standards and stakeholder requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
- 10–20 years of experience in architectural construction administration.
- Demonstrated experience with education, municipal, and community-based projects.
- Deep understanding of construction documentation, building systems, and detailing.
- Proven experience in QA/QC processes and field coordination.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Revit and construction management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, BIM 360).
- Architectural licensure preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
