Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

Join a dynamic Chemical R&D and Manufacturing Company dedicated to developing innovative crop nutrition and biological solutions for the agriculture industry. Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, you will be part of a team focused on end-to-end processes from research and development to full-scale production.

Responsibilities

• Source and bring in new equipment to be installed.
• Design process flows and P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Design) to integrate new equipment.
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and calibrate equipment.
• Collaborate with vendors to support equipment installation.
• Transition into a process improvement and continuous improvement role to enhance manufacturability of chemical products after the initial 1-3 years.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (Chemical, Mechanical, Bio, etc.)
• 1-5 years of experience in a regulated industry, with no more than 10 years total.
• Experience within Continuous Manufacturing Processes (Chemical, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, Bio-industrial, etc.)
• Proficiency in Process Flow Design & P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Design Diagrams).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Exposure to Controls and Automation.
• Familiarity with Sanitation and Aseptic processes.

Work Environment

Work within a small team of 10-12 individuals, including 1-3 engineers, in a clean and regulated environment. Manufacturing operations are based in Fort Wayne with distribution in Logansport. The company offers a close-knit atmosphere and opportunities to advance into lead engineering roles, providing a solid foundation for a career in larger pharmaceutical, food and beverage, or chemical companies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr.
