Process Engineer - Screen Printing Division

Job Title: Process Engineer

Overview

This role supports new product introduction by developing and establishing production methods, with an emphasis on material evaluation and process selection. The engineer will also strengthen current manufacturing operations by driving improvements, troubleshooting issues, and implementing upgrades to enhance performance and efficiency.

You’ll play a key role in evaluating new equipment, identifying process gaps, and driving continuous improvement through structured problem-solving and quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production processes to support new product launches
• Improve existing operations by increasing efficiency, reliability, and output quality
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and lead process enhancements
• Assess and justify new equipment purchases to support growth and capability expansion
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
• Create and maintain standard work, process documentation, and control plans
• Partner with production staff to support setup, training, and process execution
• Lead validation efforts, including process qualification and equipment readiness
• Analyze production data to track performance and yield improvements
• Support product trials, testing, and continuous innovation initiatives
• Contribute to quality and compliance systems (e.g., continuous improvement, safety, and regulatory standards)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience in ***screen printing*** MUST HAVE
• Experience supporting process development and production launches
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, etc.)
• Strong Experience in material selection and prototype development
• CAD experience (e.g., SolidWorks or similar)

Preferred / Additional Experience

• Experience in electronics, flexible circuits, or continuous web-based manufacturing processes
• Experience with material conversion or assembly operations
• Strong mechanical and hands-on troubleshooting skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Effective communicator across cross-functional teams
• Comfortable working independently and within operations teams
• Proficiency in Excel and engineering software tools
• Experience with data analysis and technical reporting

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean laboratory environment. The position offers growth opportunities, a variable individual bonus structure, and the opportunity to work within a large company. The candidate should be comfortable performing physically demanding tasks and actively engaging on the plant floor.

This is a Permanent position based out of Aurora, IL.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
