We are seeking an experienced Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer with over seven years of relevant experience. This role involves designing new buildings from start to finish and leading projects independently from kickoff through completion. The engineer will collaborate with a larger production team while owning a portion of the work, ensuring a balance between design responsibilities and production work. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities- Design new buildings from start to finish.
- Lead projects independently from kickoff through completion.
- Coordinate kickoff meetings and define overall building systems.
- Request, review, and manage required documentation.
- Work through all project phases including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration, with site visits.
- Collaborate with a larger production team while owning a portion of the work.
- Balance design responsibilities with junior- to mid-level production work.
- 7 years of experience in plumbing/fire protection.
- Proficiency in REVIT.
- Experience with new construction projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in multifamily/mixed-use, affordable housing, retail, and new construction.
- Knowledge in MEP engineering and mechanical engineering.
The role offers a hybrid work schedule with two days in the office and three days working from home. Office hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM. The team consists of 8 people, with the entire office having over 40 employees. The company is responsive, provides mentoring, and emphasizes excellent customer service. There is significant exposure to various projects and clients, primarily in the five boroughs, with 25% of work in the tri-state area.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
