Job Description

As a Plumbing Engineer, you will join project teams collaborating with top architects, contractors, and facility owners across various sectors, including education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use. You will apply creative solutions to complex challenges and contribute to projects from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems, including domestic hot and cold water, sanitary waste and vent, stormwater, and various specialty systems.
• Collaborate with professionals across disciplines to ensure project success.
• Develop practical solutions using strong problem-solving skills.
• Utilize BIM tools such as AutoCAD and Revit to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Manage multiple projects, milestones, and deadlines effectively.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
• Mentor team members and delegate tasks to support team growth.
• Balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
• Embrace continuous learning and professional development.

Essential Skills

• 5 to 15 years of experience in plumbing system engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and team-oriented.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC and plumbing/fire protection design.
• Drafting skills.
• Revit MEP proficiency.
• Possession of a PE license is a significant advantage.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
