Job Title: Plant Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive leadership in the application of Lean Principles and Methods.
• Lead the site to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash initiatives.
• Drive the team toward improved waste elimination in manufacturing and business processes.
• Provide strategy and direction to Value Stream Manager to meet production plans.
• Partner with functional partners for site activities.
• Establish site Transformation Plans and lead the site to the execution and strategy development.
• Create an environment of continuous improvement, including cost-effective procedures, systems, tooling, and equipment to continually improve manufacturing productivity.
• Develop open lines of communication to continually monitor employee attitudes and concerns, and implement appropriate actions with input from Human Resources.
• Coordinate and drive activities that respond to customer and market needs through contact with marketing departments and district sales offices.
• Lead and follow-up on the conversion of batch processing to lean practices.
• Work with leadership to identify opportunities, execute action plans, follow-up, and assure achievement of enterprise goals.
• Develop an annual plan for multiple business units focusing on the Value Stream.

Essential Skills

• A degree in Engineering or related business field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a site manager and managing an organization with more than 100 people.
• 10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Lean implementation experience and knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• MBA
• Experience in metal fabrication, stamping, pressing, painting, and assembly.
• Passion for driving safety and continuous improvement.
• Previous Quality experience, ISO 9001.

Work Environment

90% of the time will be spent on the manufacturing floor working directly with the team. The Plant Manager will have 4-5 direct reports including production, maintenance, engineering, and warehouse. They will oversee 100 individuals in the plant.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $175000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
