What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Controller position at Actalent?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Controller for our Jeffersonville, Indiana site. This role involves leading a team of two Cost Accountants and reporting directly to the local General Manager and a Manager in Ireland. This is a hands-on managerial position with a promising career path for advancement within the company.
Responsibilities- Maintain financial records in compliance with regulations, including monthly closings, year-end audits, and account reconciliation.
- Serve as a business partner to support Lead Center and Division Managers in achieving profit targets by preparing forecasts.
- Ensure internal controls are maintained according to company policies.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business objectives.
- Facilitate the annual business plan process.
- Prepare the annual cost plan by setting work center rates for inventory valuation and standard product cost.
- Prepare and analyze appropriation requests (AR).
- Coordinate physical inventories and promote cycle counts.
- Experience in cost accounting and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Experience in financial reporting and forecasting.
- Background in a regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food and beverage, chemicals, petroleum, aerospace, or automobiles.
- Experience in molding and extrusion is acceptable.
The position is based in a manufacturing facility located in Southern Indiana. The role involves limited travel, focusing primarily on tasks related to the Jeffersonville site. The work environment encourages professional growth with a clear path for promotion.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
