Piping Superintendent

Job Description

This person will serve as the primary point of contact for construction pipe fitters, managing daily schedules and communicating assignments to both pipe fitters and project managers. Prepare manpower projections for piping labor on construction projects and coordinate with the service department when technician labor is required. Conduct regular meetings with service and field management to review manpower requirements, productivity, and departmental updates. Report to construction sites and serve as supervisor over pipefitting and plumbing, coordinating with project managers on job sites.

Responsibilities Include

Make regular site visits to jobsites and meet with foremen

▪ Promptly respond to foreman questions or requests

▪ Return foremen calls and e-mails immediately

▪ Have daily conversations with foremen to receive status updates and to find out if they need materials, answers to questions, manpower, etc.

▪ Ensure that field crews get when they need, when they need it

▪ Ensure foremen know who their crew will be on a daily basis

Must Have

-5 years of General Construction experience, specifically Piping or Plumbing

-1 year of supervisor/superintendent experience

-Desire to work in the field

-Experience coordinating project teams, managing materials coming in and out, & planning for job site requirements

Nice to Have

-Pipefitting/Supervisor experience

Work Environment

This role is primarily in-field (75%) with 25% in the office for planning meetings and communication with site teams. The superintendent will manage between 5-8 projects weekly. A company vehicle will be provided for use

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chardon, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00/hr.
