Schedule:

• Monday–Tuesday, Thursday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Location: West Helena, AR

Volume: 30–50 draws (sticks) per day

Experience Level: 2-3 years

Position Overview

The Phlebotomist I is responsible for performing daily specimen collection and processing within a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) setting. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and a strong ability to provide a positive patient experience while adhering to all safety, compliance, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection (blood, urine, etc.) accurately and efficiently
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, processing, and storage of specimens
• Match specimens to requisitions and ensure accurate documentation
• Enter patient, billing, and specimen data into system with high attention to detail
• Prepare, package, and transport specimens per protocol
• Maintain daily logs, records, and documentation
• Follow all safety standards, including proper disposal of biohazard materials and sharps
• Utilize proper PPE and adhere to lab safety procedures

Patient & Client Interaction

• Provide clear, professional explanations of procedures
• Maintain a calm and reassuring environment to reduce patient anxiety
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times
• Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and team members

Administrative Duties

• Complete requisitions and verify test orders and billing information
• Perform basic clerical duties (filing, faxing, phone support)
• Assist with inventory tracking and monthly reporting
• Approve timecards and submit expense logs as required

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience required (Intermediate level preferred)
• Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills
• Experience with geriatric patients preferred
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage fluctuating patient volume
• Phlebotomy certification preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bentonville, AR.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
