Job Description
We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our hospital outpatient lab team! The role involves performing 30 to 40 blood draws daily and working collaboratively within a team environment. The position involves interaction with patients of all ages. Training will be provided for approximately two weeks at the start of the role.
Responsibilities
- Perform 30 to 40 blood draws daily in a hospital outpatient lab setting.
- Collect and process specimens efficiently and accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients of all ages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the lab.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards at all times.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in phlebotomy, blood draw, and venipuncture.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in phlebotomy, with a preference for 2-3 years.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to different situations and challenges.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in specimen processing and geriatrics.
- Demonstrated excellent tenure in previous roles.
Work Environment
The position is based in a hospital outpatient lab, operating during the first shift from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The role involves working as part of a team, with opportunities for permanent employment in a national organization. The work environment requires standing for extended periods and interacting with patients of various ages.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
