Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team.
• This role requires working every other weekend from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and three weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on a flexible schedule.
• As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you will be responsible for preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them as per procedure.
• Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them during low volume times.
• Manually package materials and products.
• Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas.
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.
• Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that is not scanning properly.
• Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish stock supplies as needed.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Be available for overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work at a moderate speed.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Possess and maintain a clear and active license (not needed in NYS).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred.

Work Environment

• The role involves sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day.
• The position may require standing or sitting for seven to ten hours a day and working extended hours as needed.
• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment is required. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally is necessary.
• Visual acuity for reading fine print and the ability to adjust focus is needed.
• The work environment is representative of typical conditions encountered while performing the essential functions of this role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vestal, NY.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Vestal,NY.
