What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Manager position at Actalent?
The pharmacy manager is a key position that works with clinic partners and consumers and advises them on pharmaceutical care services and benefits. Is responsible for the financial, clinical, and quality for pharmacy services. Will oversee daily operations of a pharmacy including dispensing prescription medication.
Patient & Partner Experience
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consumers and clinic partners to proactively understand and meet their needs.
- Serve as a clinical expert to partnering healthcare teams, collaborating regularly to support clinical outcomes.
- Counsel and educate patients on medication use, side effects, dosing schedules, and other medication‑related questions.
Clinical & Regulatory Excellence
- Ensure full compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Deliver wellness and preventive health services, including immunizations, flu shots, and other clinical offerings.
Operational & Financial Leadership
- Oversee financial performance of the pharmacy, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and drive sustainable growth.
- Review key performance indicators with staff, identifying trends and implementing improvement strategies.
- Conduct workforce and business planning to maintain operational excellence and appropriate staffing levels.
Team Leadership & Development
- Motivate, coach, and develop all pharmacy team members to ensure high performance and exceptional service delivery.
- Foster an engaging, compassionate team environment that reflects the organization’s core values and culture.
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain top pharmacy talent.
Community & Business Growth
- Build strong relationships with community members, stakeholders, and clinic partners to support pharmacy visibility and service adoption.
- Drive execution of marketing plans and promotional materials to highlight pharmacy services and offerings.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Current Pharmacist license in Montana
- 3 years of pharmacy leadership experience
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bozeman, MT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
