Job Description
The pharmacy fill technician will prepare all medications and pharmacy supplies to be checked by a pharmacist and delivered to facilities.
Responsibilities
- Fill cycle medications into blister or strip packages for unit dosing.
- Fill medications utilizing automation.
- Manually fill prescriptions.
- Prepare bulk supplies, antibiotics, and pain medications.
- Pharmacy technician certification.
- 6 months of pharmacy experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
- Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
The position is based in a long-term care pharmacy with a relaxed work environment and strong team collaboration. The schedule offers flexibility, requiring at least one opening shift from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and one closing shift from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. per week, with varied hours between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. throughout the week. Additionally, the role requires working one weekend per month, with Saturday hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on-call availability on Sunday. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
