Inpatient Pharmacist – Critical Care (7 On / 7 Off)

Location: Roseville, CA (Hospital Setting)

Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off

Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM, Sunday–Saturday

Contract Length: 13 weeks to start

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to support a high‑acuity critical care department within a major Northern California health system. This role is ideal for pharmacists with strong acute care backgrounds who thrive in fast‑paced clinical environments and enjoy a block schedule.

You will work a 7‑on/7‑off evening shift, providing essential clinical and operational pharmacy services to critical care units.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and process medication orders for critical care and acute inpatient units
• Provide clinical support including dosing adjustments, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic monitoring
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Support sterile compounding and IV preparation as needed
• Ensure safe and accurate medication distribution during evening/overnight hours

Required Qualifications

• Active CA Pharmacist License (RPh)
• Inpatient hospital experience (acute care required)
• Experience in critical care strongly preferred
• BLS certification
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Comfortable working independently during evening hours

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Roseville, CA.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
