Schedule: Rotating shifts (8:00 AM–5:00 PM and 11:00 AM–8:30 PM) every other weekend (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)

About the role:

We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Pharmacist to support daily operations in our dispensing pharmacy. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate medication processing, maintain regulatory compliance, and help oversee workflow and staff to ensure safe, timely delivery of medications.

Job duties:

• Oversee daily pharmacy workflow, production timelines, and operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, DEA, and third‑party payer regulations
• Supervise pharmacy production staff to maintain accurate order entry, workflow, and delivery schedules
• Verify accuracy of prescriptions, labels, packaging, and drug products
• Prepare or supervise preparation of sterile IV medications
• Assist with controlled substance management, including ordering, receiving, documentation, and Schedule II perpetual inventory
• Participate in on‑call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow all internal safety and operational policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Active Texas Pharmacist license
• 1 years of pharmacy experience
• Attention to detail
• Preferred: compounding experience and inventory management

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for 7–10 hours per day
• Occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, or balancing
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

This is a Contract position based out of Abilene, TX.

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $64.00/hr.
