Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable retail pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert advice on drug therapies, and ensuring the highest level of customer care. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately.
- Provide counseling to patients on medication usage and potential side effects, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new drugs and pharmacy practices.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking medications.
- Administer immunizations and other minor healthcare services as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Maintain detailed records of prescriptions and patient interactions.
Essential Skills
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid pharmacist license in the state of employment.
- 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software.

Work Environment
Work within a Long-Term Care Pharmacy with a retail-like feel. The schedule includes Monday to Friday from 12pm to 6pm, with 1-2 days a week from 10am to 6pm, and one rotating Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
