Job Title: Pharmacist in Charge

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge to join our team at a rehabilitation hospital. This facility is equipped with 36 staffed beds and maintains an average daily census of 35.4. The pharmacy operates from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and the role requires holding the position of Pharmacist in Charge while providing essential pharmacy staffing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing pharmacy operations.
• Provide pharmacy staffing during designated hours and ensure seamless operations.
• Manage and supervise one pharmacy technician per shift.
• Perform clinical reviews and ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid requirements.
• Participate in weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage as needed.
• Utilize Wellsky hospital pharmacy information system and Pyxis automation system.
• Perform IV compounding tasks while adhering to safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• Pharmacy degree (PharmD).
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with IV compounding.
• Proficiency in clinical review and management skills.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Wellsky and Pyxis systems is beneficial.

Work Environment

The pharmacy is open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for weekend, after-hours, and on-call shifts. You will work within a supportive team of one pharmacist and two technicians (full-time and PRN). The hospital uses Wellsky for its pharmacy information system and Pyxis for automation. The dress code is professional attire.

This is a Contract position based out of Georgetown, DE.

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $100.00/hr.
