Cardiac Sonographer – Pediatric & Adult Congenital
Location: Cleveland, OH
Schedule: Days, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. This role focuses on performing high-quality echocardiograms for pediatric and adult congenital patients, ensuring compassionate care and comfort for patients and families. You will also play a key role in education, research, and quality initiatives within our echocardiography lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms following IAC-approved protocols.
- Complete reports in collaboration with reading physicians.
- Teach echocardiography techniques and interpretation to Pediatric Cardiology Fellows, students, and families.
- Participate in lab meetings, quality assurance, research projects, and educational sessions.
- Maintain equipment per manufacturer, ODH, IAC, and JCAHO standards.
- Demonstrate leadership by mentoring and motivating staff.
- Comply with all PHI security requirements and organizational policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Ultrasound Program.
- Minimum 5 years of pediatric echocardiography experience.
Certifications
- RDCS-AE/PE or RCS required.
- RDCS-PE or RCCS within two years of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of cardiac pathology.
- Proficiency in pediatric echo studies and operation of all echo machines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team.
- Basic computer skills and administrative competence.
- Passion for working with pediatric patients and families.
