Superintendent – Roadway Projects
Maryville, IL | Full-Time | Permanent
Are you a seasoned leader in asphalt paving and roadway construction? Join a team that values safety, quality, and teamwork. We’re hiring a Superintendent to oversee field operations for roadway projects across the St. Louis region.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise daily activities of asphalt paving crews.
- Coordinate personnel, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with DOT specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.
- Mentor crew members and foster a strong team culture.
- Troubleshoot field issues and implement real-time solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and daily progress reports.
What You Bring
- 5 years of asphalt paving experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of DOT specs, asphalt mix designs, and paving equipment.
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Hands-on experience with paving machines, rollers, and heavy equipment.
- Quality control and grading experience.
- Ability to operate a paver on asphalt projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
