Job Description

The Safety Technician plays a key role in supporting construction job site safety programs by monitoring compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety policies. This position focuses on conducting regular site inspections, identifying potential hazards, and helping implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries. The Safety Technician maintains accurate safety documentation, assists with incident investigations, and delivers basic safety training to field personnel. Working closely with project leaders and subcontractors, this role actively promotes a strong culture of safety across all active projects and requires keen attention to detail, clear communication, and solid knowledge of construction safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections across construction sites to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Document inspection findings and safety observations in an organized and accurate manner.
• Recommend and help implement corrective actions to reduce risks and prevent accidents and injuries.
• Maintain up-to-date safety records, reports, and other required documentation.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations by gathering information and supporting root-cause analysis.
• Support the development and delivery of basic safety training to field personnel and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to reinforce safety expectations and practices.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging with workers on-site and encouraging safe behaviors.
• Stay informed about construction safety standards and best practices to continuously improve safety performance.

Essential Skills

Work Environment

This role is based in a construction environment and involves regular presence on active job sites. The Safety Technician works in and around ongoing construction activities, which may include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and typical construction hazards. The position requires adherence to all site safety rules and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment as required. The organization is experiencing significant growth and manages a substantial portfolio of work, offering opportunities to contribute to safety across multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Rockledge, FL.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Rockledge,FL.
