Seeking an experienced Natural Resources Senior Ecologist/Scientist to join our team in Milwaukee or Burlington, WI. The position will oversee and coordinate various natural resource projects and team members. This position requires a strong background in natural resources management, project management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of scientist that handle their own projects and assist in larger team projects
• Lead and manage natural resource projects from initiation to completion
• Conduct wetland delineations and assist with field data documentation and interpretation.
• Prepare agency permit applications for local, state, and federal permits, including shoreland, wetland, and waterway permitting.
• Assist with WPDES (Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) construction, municipal, and high capacity well permitting and compliance oversight.
• Design and implement erosion and sediment control plans.
• Conduct NHI(threatened/endangered/special concern species) review and habitat assessments.
• Assist with technical report writing and scientific reporting.
• Utilize GPS technology for field data collection and mapping.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in biology, natural resources, botany, ecology, watershed management, or hydrogeology.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in natural resources management, environmental consulting, or related field
• Assured Wetland Delineation Certification a plus
• Comfortable working in outdoor environments and conducting fieldwork.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document and interpret field data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally within the state of Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
