Actalent is looking for floating MRI Technologists to join our team in Austin, TX!
Job Description:
- Perform and maintain daily check-ups and quality control on MRI scanners.
- Perform daily quality assurance of the MR schedule to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
- MRI examinations and maintenance of equipment in their assigned work area.
- Proper positioning of the patient.
- Selection of the appropriate protocol with maintaining acceptable technical adjustments and proper post processing of MRI examinations.
- IV insertions when contrast is needed.
- Identify each patient and review exam paperwork with the patient.
- Confirm physicians’ orders and any special instructions within the exam or appointment notes.
- Record the patient’s history, including information about priors.
- Confirm that all images are sent to PACS per policy and procedures and verifies tech notes and required documents have successfully transmitted to PACS
Qualifications:
- Certification as Medical Radiological Technologist by the Texas Medical Board
- Certification through an AMA approved school.
- Current MR registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- CPR and AED certifications.
- Knowledge of Siemens 3T and 1.5 units.
- Minimum 1 year experience in MRI Technology.

- Rotating shifts, M-F.
- $33-$40/HR, based on years of experience.
