MEP Estimator (Government Agency Projects | NYC)

We’re hiring an experienced MEP Estimator to lead cost planning and estimation for large-scale projects with agencies such as SCA, DASNY, and other public sector clients. This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City or our Albany office.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed MEP estimates for government agency, healthcare, and institutional projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and documentation for cost breakdowns
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and perform scope reviews
- Collaborate with design teams for constructability and value engineering
- Participate in preconstruction meetings and client presentations
- Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 5–10 years of MEP estimating experience
- Proven experience with government agency projects (SCA, DASNY, etc.)
- Proficiency in estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Destini, Sitework tools)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
- Experience advising clients on cost strategies and market conditions
- Familiarity with corporate estimating processes
- Ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jersey City, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $85.00/hr.
