HIRING: Medical Technologist Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist to serve as an evening supervisor in our general laboratory. This leadership role requires overseeing a team of 5-6 technologists, handling scheduling, troubleshooting, and administrative tasks. As the go-to person for the lab, you will ensure quality assurance and oversee testing activities, contributing to the growth and success of our laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 5-6 technologists, providing leadership and support.
• Handle scheduling, troubleshooting, and administrative paperwork.
• Oversee testing and quality assurance activities in the point of care testing program.
• Perform day-to-day supervision of chemistry and hematology departments.
• Monitor processes to ensure acceptable levels of analytic performance.
• Review quality assurance practices, environmental monitors, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment, including quality control and calibration.

Essential Skills

• NYS Clinical Technologist license required.
• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or a Master's degree with 2 years of clinical lab experience.
• Experience in chemistry and hematology, with the ability to perform manual differentials.
• 1-2 years of prior lead or supervisory experience in a clinical lab.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with laboratory technology and point of care testing.
• MLT manager, chemistry, hematology, medical technologist, supervisor experience.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, with shifts from 3pm to 11pm or 4pm to 12am. Enjoy a work-life balance with no nights or weekends required. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
