Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional schedule flexibility may be required)

Pay: $27.40/hour

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and organized Medical Assistant to join an Integrated Behavioral Health team as an Integrated Care Coordinator. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within behavioral health while working closely with a psychiatrist in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The role is primarily administrative with limited clinical duties, making it ideal for candidates who excel in coordination and patient support.

Key Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a psychiatrist to support behavioral health services and patient care
• Manage front and back office responsibilities including patient check-in, scheduling, and appointment coordination
• Prepare patient charts, maintain accurate documentation, and perform confirmation calls
• Assist with care coordination and ensure patients are scheduled for appropriate follow-up visits
• Perform limited clinical tasks such as taking vitals and supporting medication workflows
• Utilize EMR systems to track patient information and maintain organized records

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certificate required (entry-level candidates welcome)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient service skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare workflows
• Experience with EMR systems (NextGen preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA.

The pay range for this position is $27.40 - $27.40/hr.
