- Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, process engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure design intent is captured correctly on P&IDs.
- Produce clear, detailed P&ID documentation including equipment symbols, pipe specifications, instrumentation details, and control logic.
- Ensure all P&IDs comply with applicable safety regulations, industry codes, standards, and project-specific guidelines.
- Support component selection by coordinating with engineers on piping materials, valves, instruments, and associated equipment to ensure compatibility with process and safety requirements.
- Manage P&ID change control by documenting revisions, tracking updates, and communicating changes to internal and external stakeholders.

- Clearly communicate design concepts, changes, and technical details to team members, project stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines.
- Provide guidance, training, and technical support to junior designers and drafters to help maintain high standards of engineering documentation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of P&ID standards, templates, and best practices within the engineering team.
- 5–10 years of mechanical design experience with a strong focus on P&ID development for industrial or manufacturing processes.
