Responsibilities
- Perform CAD work for 60-70% of the day using AutoCAD and Solidworks for design and modifications.
- Engage in reverse engineering of finished parts to improve and optimize designs.
- Develop production fixturing drawings and collaborate with quality and production teams to ensure feasibility and functionality.
- Provide manufacturing support by creating new drawings when machinery issues arise.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve drawing issues as they occur.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Design/CAD.
- 1-2 years of experience in the CAD drafting industry is preferred, but entry-level candidates will be considered.
- Proficiency in Solidworks for parts and complex assemblies.
- Expertise in AutoCAD/Draftsight, particularly with layered manufacturing operations.
- Strong mechanical inclination and passion for the automotive industry.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prospect Heights, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
