Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

The main function of a mechanical engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. A typical mechanical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints. Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices. Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew. Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software

Job Duties

• Shop support for NPIs, Pilot and Validation testing. - Production & test support (Electrical / Mechanical)
• Introduce ICAs & PCAs to protect RTS
• Resolve Seguin quality issues (CIAs) and support quality initiatives
• Deviations, technical support, quality audits
• DTO support & onsite Rental support
• Supplier collaboration, find alternative parts and validate new parts
• Compliance support (UL, ULC, CSA)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5 years experience - open to 2 year degree with 7 years experience or masters with 3 years experience
• Bachelors in Engineering
• Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports

This is a Contract position based out of Seguin, TX.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
