Join a dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in developing conceptual designs from customer specifications. You will have the opportunity to take full technical responsibility for new product design and development efforts, ensuring production readiness and delivery of all necessary documentation. Engage in analytical functions related to new product development and legacy product support, including tolerance studies, structural analysis, hydraulic analysis, and dynamic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs from customer specifications under the guidance of senior engineering leadership.
• Take full technical responsibility for new product design and development.
• Ensure production readiness and delivery of all drawings, documents, and related data associated with assigned projects.
• Conduct analytical functions related to new product development and legacy product support, including tolerance studies, structural analysis, and hydraulic analysis.
• Prepare qualification test plans and procedures.
• Serve as the primary technical customer interface for new and legacy products.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
• Proficiency in Solidworks and mechanical design.
• ****Experience in hydraulics/pneumatics design****
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in report writing and vibration analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with ANSYS is a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical parts for manufacturing in aerospace is advantageous.
• Familiarity with qualification testing in similar fields is beneficial.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and schematics is a nice-to-have skill.

Work Environment

Work in a leading industry environment specializing in hydraulic manufacture for aerospace. You will split your time between the shop floor surrounded by CNC machines and assembly personnel, and a cubicle. The workspace is clean, with updated machines and a culture focused on continuous improvement. The role requires working first shift hours, totaling 40 to 50 hours per week, with a business casual dress code.

This is a Permanent position based out of Westbury, NY.

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
