Actalent is hiring for a Mechanical Design Engineer. This person will be responsible for the following:
Job Description
- Design parts, drawings, and large assemblies within SolidWorks
- Perform Engineering analyses and simulations
- Provide support to the production floor for design changes or process improvements
- Collaborate with testing department and develop test methods
- Prototype building
- Utilize ERP for all data management related to products
Must Have
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
- Targeting 3 years of experience; co-ops and internships may be considered
- SolidWorks CAD design experience
- Knowledge of machine building, welding or fabrication methods
- Experience working within metals
Work Environment
- Majority of time spent in office. Will collaborate heavily with the production floor if design changes are required or during testing phases.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $38.50/hr.
