Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Drafter who will play a pivotal role in generating, modifying, and organizing general arrangement and physical outline drawings using the latest AutoCAD software. This position involves creating accurate and timely drawings for customer approval and the manufacture of Circuit Breaker products.

Responsibilities

• Generate, modify, and organize general arrangement and physical outline drawings accurately and on time for customer approval and manufacturing.
• Perform CAD file conversions as needed.
• Utilize ProEngineer to generate 3D models for customer circuit breakers upon request.
• Review mechanical and electrical drawing packages for technical and typographical errors.
• Prepare approval and as-built drawing packages, CT curves, and test reports for customer submittal.
• Manage and maintain all circuit breaker engineering drawing files within the document management system (EDMATS).
• Prepare device tag files for procurement by the planning team.
• Update the order tracking record database with accurate data.
• Assist Production, Industrialization, Sourcing, and Quality departments as required.
• Follow USC factory and GE Grid Solutions specifications as well as applicable national and international standards.
• Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in current generation AutoCAD software.
• Associates degree and 1 year experience in mechanical CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Pro-E OR Bachelors degree and 0 years of experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Drafting, 3D Modeling, or Mechanical Design.

Work Environment

The role requires adherence to factory specifications and standards. Collaborate with various departments and maintain engineering drawing files within the document management system. Operate primarily in an office setting using advanced technology to support production and quality assurance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleroi, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
