Job Description
As a Mechanical Designer, you will develop innovative solutions by understanding product requirements and creating part drawings, solid models, and bills of material. You will support design reviews, work with suppliers to produce parts, and prototype and test designs, demonstrating your technical problem-solving abilities. You will also maintain subassemblies and be familiar with manufacturing processes to create accurate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Process and Change Notices (PACNs), while identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities
This position is onsite, ideally suited for a candidate who enjoys leaving their desk to engage with the manufacturing floor for problem-solving and tinkering. You will work within a collaborative team of nine individuals, in a strong organization equipped with excellent high-tech equipment. This large organization partners globally, being a leader in trusted experiences for identities, payments, and digital infrastructure.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.

- Be familiar with and apply manufacturing processes.
- Create accurate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Process and Change Notices (PACNs).
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience in mechanical design and engineering change orders.
- Familiarity with injection mold design, new product development, sheet metal, and machine part design.
- Experience with injection-molded plastic-part design.
- Experience with sheet metal and machined part design.
- 3D printing experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, self-directed, and organized.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to excel in a highly interactive team environment.
- Understanding of GD&T standards.
