Job Title: Materials Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Materials Specialist with a robust background in logistics and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience and an active forklift certification. Proficiency in Maximo is required for managing utility materials, including receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing tools, equipment, and parts to crews.
Responsibilities
- Organize and inventory warehouse materials.
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist customers and employees with locating materials.
- Assist customers and employees with loading and unloading of materials.
- Receive, unload, inspect, and store materials.
- Organize storerooms and prepare, issue, or ship equipment to crew members.
- Support field crews by ensuring necessary tools are available, including potential storm duty support.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and perform minor repairs or assembly of tools as needed.
Essential Skills
- 10 years of experience in logistics and inventory management.
- Active forklift certification.
- Experience with Maximo.
- Proficiency in computer-based inventory systems.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in materials handling and inventory control.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
- Ability to manage work orders effectively.
Work Environment
Work will take place at a network underground warehouse. The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4pm or 6:30am to 4:30pm. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all safety regulations is mandatory.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
