Manufacturing Engineering Technician I

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician I supports manufacturing operations by assisting in product testing, process documentation, and troubleshooting. The technician contributes to the development and validation of production processes to ensure consistent quality and performance of components and systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings, work instructions, and process documentation to assist production teams in understanding and executing procedures.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to carry out product evaluations and support development activities.
• Draft test protocols, execution plans, and summary reports under guidance from senior engineers.
• Participate in process validation efforts to confirm that products meet design and performance criteria.
• Serve as a technical resource for operations, clarifying specifications and process requirements.
• Assist maintenance personnel with advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of manufacturing equipment.
• Investigate product and equipment failures to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Source and request tooling and equipment through established procurement channels.
• Support welding and brazing process development and qualification efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned, exercising sound judgment and discretion in decision-making.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or extended hours as needed.

• Interpretation of engineering drawings, procedures, and process documentation.
• Diagnosis of equipment issues and identification of root causes of product failures.
• Support of process validation and creation of product test plans.
• Proficiency in technical drawing, failure analysis, and process validation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, including raw material handling and assembly operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to drive results.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Simi Valley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
