Manufacturing Engineer - Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our manufacturing and assembly operations. This role involves troubleshooting manufacturing issues on the production floor, creating and revising assembly and test work instructions, and reviewing CAD drawings and models to support manufacturing builds. The successful candidate will drive continuous process improvements and own and support a specific product platform.
Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues on the production floor.
- Work closely with technicians and production personnel.
- Create and revise assembly and test work instructions.
- Review CAD drawings and models to support manufacturing builds.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage manufacturing processes and product configurations.
- Drive continuous process improvements.
- Own and support a specific product platform.
- Participate in quality and manufacturing improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with design engineering, purchasing, quality, and suppliers.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree with 3–4 years of hands-on experience or Master's Degree with 2-3 years of hands-on experience.
- Manufacturing engineering experience.
- Knowledge of building materials.
- Experience creating work instructions.
- Manufacturing floor problem-solving experience.
- ERP system experience.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with mechanical tools such as wrenches and crimpers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with GD&T and SolidWorks.
- Experience working in capital equipment, semiconductor, or large-scale high-complexity low-volume manufacturing.
- Exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills on the manufacturing floor
This is a Permanent position based out of Edison, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $76000.00 - $97000.00/yr.
