Medical Assistant/ Licensed Practical Nurse (MA/LPN)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in providing exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for rooming patients, assisting providers, preparing and maintaining examination and treatment rooms, cleaning equipment, and potentially answering phones. This role involves rooming up to 25 patients per day.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and assist healthcare providers during examinations.
- Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms.
- Clean and sanitize medical equipment.
- Answer phones and manage patient inquiries as needed.
Essential Skills
- Experience in rooming and charting patients.
- Proficiency in medical assisting.
- Diploma in Medical Assisting or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with completion of a state-approved program.
- Up-to-date licensure with the Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Basic computer skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Diploma (certification not required).
- LPN with completion of a state-approved program.
Work Environment
The position is primarily based in Urology Clinics at St. Louis Park, with potential scheduling at Maple Grove or Burnsville on an as-needed basis. Working hours are Monday through Friday, with shifts from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM at St. Louis Park, and 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM at Burnsville and Maple Grove. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
