Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is an essential member of the clinical team, primarily responsible for providing safe, evidence-based care to our patients. This role involves offering exceptional support and anticipating the needs of both clinicians and patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, document, and communicate patients’ vital statistics and measurements.
• Observe and note any physical or emotional changes in patients.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
• Select, prepare, and manage medical supplies and equipment.
• Ensure that the patient environment is comfortable, organized, safe, and hygienic.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information.
• Prepare patients for follow-up care post-treatment.
• Potentially guide and educate other LPNs.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource on nursing-related issues for the section.
• Organize and manage scheduling for patients and necessary medical tests.

• Proven capability to thrive in dynamic, multi-specialty medical settings.
• LPN License in the state of CT.
• Attendance and reliability.
• Experience with EPIC.
• 1-2 years of medical office experience, including triage, care management, and patient care.

• Strong communication skills.
• Medical office experience.

The LPN will work in a multi-specialty building, floating between specialties and collaborating closely with other employees. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, with a standard 37.5-hour workweek and the possibility for overtime. Primarily focused on orthopedics, but multi-specialty support is required as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New Haven, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
