Lims Specialist

The LIMS Specialist will serve as the primary owner of our client's Labworks system, playing a key role in ensuring data integrity, workflow efficiency, and system performance across all departments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both laboratory operations and database structures, with a passion for solving complex data and workflow challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Labworks 7.1 to 7.3 upgrade, including configuration mapping and validation.
• Support and enhance modules such as Project Analyte Management (PAM) and Electronic Data Deliverables (EDD).
• Maintain and optimize Crystal Reports and calculation logic for compliance and accuracy.
• Manage LIMS workflows for sample login, customer management, and dry weight calculations.
• Ensure consistent naming conventions, data structures, and report formats across the system.
• Collaborate with lab managers, analysts, and executive leadership to align LIMS functionality with operational goals.
• Troubleshoot issues, train staff, and maintain system documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
• 3 years of hands-on experience with LIMS administration (Labworks preferred).
• Understanding of SQL databases, table relationships, and report design.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting laboratory workflows and data management.

• Experience configuring or upgrading Labworks 7.x.
• Familiarity with Crystal Reports and EDD formatting for regulatory clients (EPA, CDPHE, etc.).
• Knowledge of environmental analytical testing (organics, inorganics, PFAS, VOCs, etc.).

This position is based on-site in Aurora, Colorado, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $38.46/hr.
